Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant for the Center for Alcohol and Substance Use Studies.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Provides administrative support for faculty and research team.
- Provides support to research team by organizing and coordinating project operations.
- Coordinates the administration of projects and all the process related to those projects.
- Prepares and implements research guidelines, and procedures, and provides oversight and facilitation.
- Schedules, arranges and coordinates design and logistics for events and meetings; and completes other work as assigned.
- Assists with database creation and data entry/quality assurance.
- Creates informational materials; provide supporting research, analysis, and proposal data. Prepares, processes and controls records, statistics, reports, and documents.
- Facilitates interview-based research assessments.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Access, SPSS, Redcap and other relevant data management tools.
- Ability to learn a variety of university electronic systems and applications.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work in diverse teams with accountability and responsibility.
- Ability to contribute to a positive, productive, open and supportive environment that motivates everyone to perform at their best.
- Excellent organizational and proactive planning skills.
- Critical thinking skills with proven ability to problem solve and follow up appropriately on process and procedural issues.
