Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for New Ventures within the Rutgers Office for Research. This position will support all aspects of administration and operation Rutgers' I-Corps activities, including marketing and promotion, recruitment and registration of teams, operations of in person and virtual events and programs, data tracking and reporting, and financial operations.

The Office for Research's mission is to support the research, scholarship, and creative endeavors of all Rutgers faculty. The Office accomplishes its mission by convening with academic and research leaders, providing integrated, user-focused resources, services, and tools, and partnering with faculty.

This position will support all aspects of administration and operation Rutgers' I-Corps activities, including marketing and promotion, recruitment and registration of teams, operations of in person and virtual events and programs, data tracking and reporting, and financial operations.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Provides financial and business development support to advance the innovations towards commercialization, and to evaluate the potential for a startup as a vehicle to bring those innovations to the market.
  • Provides support for two programs for New Ventures within the Office for Research:


- Commercialization Funding
- NSF I-Corps

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • A Bachelors degree in higher education administration, public administration, management, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of management and administrative principles and practices.
  • Two years of relevant professional experience in an administrative function.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience managing and/or supporting the administrative needs of projects.
  • Candidate must be a self-initiator and self-motivated, work well as part of a team or individually and possess exceptional organizational skills, with excellent communications, writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and web meeting platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred.
