The Marriott Renaissance Hotel is seeking a creative and skilled Line Cook to join their team of fun-spirited team members! Our newly renovated 250+ room hotel, with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space, is conveniently located for business and leisure travelers.

As a Line Cook, you will be an essential part of our Food and beverage Culinary team, delivering exceptional Guest Services through meticulous food preparation at the hotel. Your role will ensure guest satisfaction by supporting our chefs with precise ingredient preparation, helping to create visually appealing and delicious culinary experiences that guests will cherish and remember.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Equip assigned workstations with essential products and culinary equipment to ensure efficient production and exceptional service.
  • Complete all prep work efficiently for soups, sauces, salads, and various ingredients.
  • Ensures meticulous product storage and precise portion control for each dish.
  • Minimizes spoilage and waste through effective product rotation.
  • Monitors food, produce, and cooking supply levels to facilitate timely reordering.
  • Maintains impeccable cleanliness and refrigeration, storage, and work area functionality.



Physical Demands :



  • Lift, carry, push, or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform duties in confined spaces, within extreme temperature ranges, and working the entire shift standing and moving about in the kitchen area.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to grasp and use all kitchen equipment.


Qualifications :

Education :



  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Completion of Culinary or Apprenticeship Program preferred.


Experience:



  • Minimum of 1 year of cook experience in a hotel preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in a similar role and the size of operation required.
  • Managers Food Handlers Certification required.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes.
