What You Will Do:

This position is responsible for ensuring accurately and timely processing and completion of the accounts payable function for the University under the direction of the Accounts Payable Supervisor.



Essential Responsibilities

    Review expense submissions for proper documentation including expense approval, account coding and support to assemble expense packet for data entry.
  • Reviews, enters invoices, expense reports, check requests and PO related billings.
  • Maintains Accounting files and records with organization and accuracy.
  • Check matching and distribution of checks.
  • Distribute and process departmental mail-incoming and outgoing.
  • Prioritize your own work flow for timely completion.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • 1+ years of general office experience, customer service, and date entry.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office- Excel and word.
  • Versatility: Is able to take on a variety of different tasks and roles in the organization. Can move in a relatively seamless manner from one task or focus to another and can fill in for other team members when they are absent or are experiencing work overload.
  • Time Management: Prioritizes tasks and manages time to ensure that deadlines are met. Plans his or her time and sticks to those plans. Prevents or manages interruptions until the highest priority tasks are accomplished.
  • Quality of Work: Has established a track record of producing work that is highly accurate, demonstrates attention to detail and reflects well on the organization. Is personally committed to high quality work and encourages others to have similar standards.
