Position Purpose |
The Mindfulness Project Manager will work collaboratively and creatively to provide project management, administrative coordination, and support for the Mindful Dartmouth Initiative (
MDI), which brings together stakeholders from across the Dartmouth community with the goal of integrating evidence-based mindfulness and contemplative practices into the student, staff, and faculty experience as foundational to whole person education, development, and wellbeing on the individual and community levels.
The Mindfulness Project Manager will also develop, coordinate, and implement programs and offerings that support wellbeing through mindfulness skill-building and experiential learning. Working with stakeholders from across the institution, The Mindfulness Project Manager will integrate mindfulness practices into the campus environment for the purpose of promoting health, wellbeing, and success in fulfillment of the mission of the Student Wellness Center and
MDI. |

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience |
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities |
* Bachelor's degree in public health, psychology, sociology, education, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
* Certification, training, or other credentials related to mindfulness and/or yoga
* 3-5 years of successful program delivery of wellbeing practices related to mindfulness-based interventions
* Ability to solve problems quickly and completely with minimal supervision, to manage multiple projects, and to work constructively in a team environment
* Excellent project management and organizational skills; Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects and events under tight deadlines and quality standards.
* Ability to develop positive campus constituency partnerships across a variety of identities and backgrounds, and to employ tact and diplomacy under pressure in sensitive situations
* Demonstrated excellence in collaboration and communication
* Outstanding proficiency in teamwork, collaboration, flexibility and initiative
* Demonstrated ability to assess program effectiveness |
Preferred Qualifications |
* Master's degree in public health, health education, health promotion, or related field
* 5+ years developing and implementing wellbeing programs, workshops, or practice sessions, preferably in a higher education environment or with college-aged individuals
* Solid foundation in student developmental theory and/or behaviour change theory and their application to professional practice in higher education
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to synthesize and present information and data effectively |

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders manages and advances operational processes for multiple components across the life cycle of a project. |
