The Office of Real Estate & Development (
URED) serves as the real estate development and services group for North Carolina State University.
URED oversees the acquisition, leasing, management and disposition of real estate assets for the University and its endowment and affiliated foundations.
URED also oversees the planning and development of Centennial Campus and the Centennial Biomedical Campus through a variety of public-private partnership models. |
Essential Job Duties |
Join our Real Estate & Development team, where you'll support diverse real estate projects, helping to shape the university's future spaces and facilities. This is a unique role with opportunities to learn, collaborate, and make a tangible impact on campus and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Real Estate Transactions: Facilitate university real estate transactions-Acquisitions, Dispositions, Easements, Leases, and more-across various locations. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure real estate activities align with North Carolina statutes and university policies, coordinating with legal teams and managing document preparation. Asset & Contract Management: Maintain inventory records, track contract obligations, and follow up on terms, escalating issues when necessary. Due Diligence Coordination: Work with service providers (title search, environmental, brokers) to gather due diligence materials for real estate projects. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with university departments, state agencies, and external parties (utilities, local officials) for seamless project execution. Field Engagement: Conduct site visits to support project progress, document organization, and information gathering.

Other Responsibilities |
Gain experience in cross-functional projects with exposure to legal, operational, and compliance aspects of real estate as you support and assist the Director of Real Estate Services with additional projects as assigned. |
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
