Overview

The Human Resources Operations Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations, efficiently processing new hires and terminations, accurately maintaining employee records, and supporting managers, employees and others with general HR inquiries and HRIS utilization. This position uses knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities



  • Maintain accurate and thorough employee records within HRIS including the timely processing of employee changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, wage adjustments, and terminations.
  • Interact with employees, candidates, and managers to gather information and clarify or correct documentation to support timely and accurate data and transactions.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for general HR related inquiries, employment verifications, and HRIS support to employees, managers and former employees via department email and phone line.
  • Partner with recruiting team by initiating, tracking, and completing new hire pre-employment screening in partnership with third party vendor(s).
  • Support managers and new hires to facilitate efficient, accurate and timely employee on-boarding. Track and follow up as needed to ensure I-9, E-Verify and policy acknowledgement compliance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate understanding of company and department policies and procedures to assist with employee questions.
  • Coordinate and audit legal poster compliance for all locations in coordination with third-party vendor.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to payroll processing including processing time records, calculating and auditing bonus and commissions, auditing payroll records and related functions.
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed process documentation.
  • Identify and suggest process changes to enhance efficiency while ensuring positive employee experiences, consistency, and compliance.
  • Utilize HRIS, Excel and other tools to prepare reports and analytical data as needed.
  • Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and usability of data, including completing data audits as needed.
  • Perform various clerical functions such as filing, photocopying, faxing documents, etc.

Job Requirements



  • Two years of work experience in a human resources related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills to compute wage rates and benefits cost.
  • Knowledge of good workflow principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide accurate and thorough work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.


Preferred Skills



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • Ability to work and keep on schedule with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Ability to work under timelines and pressure
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
