Job Title: Epic EMR Security Analyst

Location(s): Scottsdale, AZ

(100% remote)

Job Summary:


  • The EMR Security Analyst will be responsible for EMR end user access provisioning, support and administration of associated technologies and processes.
  • The EMR Security Analyst will analyze, design, build, test, train, go live and provide production support of the Security related systems and processes.
  • Recognizes and makes management aware of issues and potential problems related to EMR security and user provisioning, and demonstrates initiative in determining possible solutions.
  • In addition, the EMR Security Analyst will participate in a support on-call rotation facilitating off-hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task.


Responsibilities:


  • Ability to troubleshoot high complexity end-user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, associated medical staff, key stakeholders, management and leadership. Contributes to technical and workflow root cause analysis.
  • Manages and maintains standard security configurations, security classes and templates, security class ownership, provisioning of application security levels and roles.
  • Independently perform daily systems EMR security administration functions, including managing customer access requests; creating, modifying and/or deleting user profiles and accounts; maintaining appropriate documentation; and monitors and audits access log files with.
  • Ability to independently analyze, interpret and present audit findings into clear, concise reports. Ensure compliance with current and new security standards and perform routine maintenance and logging.
  • Contributes to keeping security standards up to date with the latest releases. Completes new security updates, documents build, tests and applies security changes to production independently.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Communicates effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization and has the ability to determine the appropriate forum for each method.
  • Develops effective working relationships across HonorHealth and with vendor applications support personnel.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage individual workload independently. Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs.
  • Independently coordinates and facilitates security related activities and meetings with various internal partners to discuss and design system level access needs.
  • Proactively identifies new opportunities to improve and enhance security functions and processes. Independently leads process improvement initiatives forward with minimal assistance. Consultatively advises personnel regarding the functions of security access, and associated processes and technologies.
  • Provides leadership, mentoring, and training to the EMR Security team and in relation to other departments inside and outside of the Information Technology organization.
  • Completes IT Governance & IT project job assignments to ensure achievement of established project milestones. Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Nursing, Information Systems (IS), or related field; or four (4) years of related experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED.
  • Master's Degree in in Business, Nursing, Information Systems (IS), or related field PREFERRED.
  • 4+ years of EMR Security or equivalent related experience REQUIRED.
  • 6+ years of EMR Security or equivalent related Data courier experience PREFERRED.
  • Current Epic Security Coordinator certification REQUIRED.
  • CompTIA Security+ or related certification PREFERRED.
