Position Summary Under the direction of the Vice President Quality and Risk Management, MHS clinical risk manager plans, organizes and administers risk management activities with the goal of minimizing the adverse effects on patients and/or losses to the organization. Support development, implementation, administration, review and communication of Memorial Health Services policies and procedures related to loss prevention, patient safety, patient rights and/or hospital responsibilities. Provide consultative services and acts as a resource to administration, physicians, patients and employees relating to risk management services.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent time management, organizational and analytical skills Diplomatic communication skills to effectively interact with staff, patients & families, as well as physicians and administration; to facilitate resolution of conflict and promote corrective actions Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience overseeing comparable functions Strong leadership skills and ability to build consensus necessary Flexibility, organizational awareness and strategic perspective required Education/Licensure/Certification Current licensure or certification in clinical specialty RN licensure preferred B.S., B.A. degree required Juris Doctor, master's degree in healthcare, business administration or related field preferred Certification in Risk Management desirable
