Job Description: Summary: Barr is seeking a senior-level mining hydrogeologist to help grow our team of professionals that deliver services to the mining industry in areas related to hydrogeologic characterization, water management, feasibility studies, environmental permitting, and mine reclamation. Project responsibilities may include designing complex mine water management studies and programs involving the collection of hydrogeological field data and data interpretation/evaluation; providing technical guidance on operational water management issues; and working with multidisciplinary teams (geochemists, hydrogeologists, hydrologists) on modeling studies. Business development activities will include interacting with clients to identify and develop new project opportunities, which will include maintaining strong relationships with clients, developing proposals, and networking with clients and project partners at conferences. In addition to working with Barr's mining clients, the successful candidate may support projects across Barr's client portfolio, including the fuels, power, public, and manufacturing sectors. A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position can be based out of Barr's Salt Lake City, Utah; Duluth, Hibbing and Minneapolis, Minnesota; Reno, Nevada; or Denver, Colorado, offices. Colorado and Nevada Applicants Only: Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000-$125,000/year. Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus.
