Driver/Warehouse Associate
Job Description Summary The Driver/Warehouse Associate will assist in the warehouse operation functions during non-delivery days. This includes receiving, stocking, preparation, and shipping of merchandise for local and outlying areas. The Driver/Warehouse Associate duties also include tool knowledge, traveling to-and-from job sites, unloading tools/equipment, uncrating/assembling/placing the equipment, and getting the site ready for final connections.
The Driver/Warehouse Associate is expected to learn or have a knowledge of tools, a can-do attitude, uphold a professional appearance, meet delivery deadlines, be courteous in their client interactions, and to follow company Policies & Procedures and safety protocols at all times. Must maintain an organized workspace including company vehicles and ensure they have the correct materials for each job on their vehicles and inform the supervisor of any restock parts/materials orders per mobilization. Essential Duties:
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting.
- Must be a team player with a willingness to learn and have strong time management skills.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company standard operating procedures, and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Follow all traffic laws.
- Attend weekly safety meetings.
- Must be willing/able to travel by truck for extended periods of time, working overtime and/or weekends when necessary.
- Effectively operate material handling equipment.
- Operate and handle a radio frequency unit.
- Log time on job site, travel time, and report to supervisor at the end of each shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
External Qualifications Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills, reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel for overnight stays. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Preferred: Successful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade School and forklift certification.
