Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Administrative Coordinator II for NJMS - Vice Chair Administration. The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative and analytical support to the Vice Chair of Administration (Sr. Director Administration). The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support and creating various reports for departmental leadership.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Provides administrative support to the Vice Chair of Administration (Sr. Director Administration).
  • Acts as principal liaison with various administrative departments and units of the University.
  • Responsible for timely follow-up of problems and questions and maintains a log and documentation of same.
  • Performs analysis of financial reporting to ensure any variances are identified and corrected.
  • Creates reports with MS Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Generates reports as required for department leadership including narratives and figures.
  • Prepares correspondences, responds to inquiries as directed and distributes informational materials.
  • As applicable, coordinates fiscal procedures within the office, including budget implementation and control. Ensures that expenditures are in accordance with allocation of funds.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree plus one (1) years of administrative experience in a government agency, university setting or large business office with responsibility for office management, preparation of reports, supervision of staff, etc.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications as required by the department.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
