Under the leadership and supervision of the Director of CHASS Academic Personnel the Assistant Director serves as a critical member on the CHASS Academic Personnel team and will oversee a team of analysts fulfilling the portfolio of AP actions including appointments, reappointments, merits, promotions, retentions and leaves. The Assistant Director will participate in strategic planning, perform in depth analysis of policies and procedures and formulate recommendations in a wide variety of academic personnel areas. This position supervises 3 staff supporting the processes for 13 departments and is responsible for ensuring timelines are met and files are in compliance with policies and procedures. The Assistant Director will provide a high level of customer service and support on complex issues to the Dean, Associate Deans, department chairs and staff within CHASS.
This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule. The full salary range for the Assistant Director of Academic Personnel for the Humanities and Arts is $90,400 - $169,000. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. |
