Job Location: Plymouth, IN (will also support Bluffton, IN) Summary: Responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership, coordination, and administrative oversight to process and program planning and implementation, integrated facilities operations, property planning, environmental health & safety, energy management and conservation, building systems and software, and interaction with owners, vendors, and contractors for all sites. Responsibilities:
- Designing processes and equipment related to the manufacturing of products or services that are cost effective and within a given budget
- Implementing process designs, creating prototypes, testing making necessary modifications where required and commissioning the process
- Assessing safety and sanitation requirements for new and existing equipment and ensuring that these are integrated into the process
- Integrating new technology and best practices into existing process
- Contributing to the overall safety of the employees and facility
- Working closely with other engineers and technicians on development and research projects as well as Capital Projects
- Be willing to travel to other sites for support. Position may require working nights and weekends as necessary for projects or support.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds
- Frequently lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
- Solid foundation in engineering concepts
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail
- General knowledge of Industrial Electricity (digital and analog I/O, 480/240/110/24)
- Project management, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Experience with Fanuc robots
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years' experience in engineering
- 3+ years' experience in manufacturing and production
- 5+ years' experience with Allen Bradley PLC controls (programming, troubleshooting, configuration)
- 3+ years' experience with robotics
Preferred Experience:
- Capital project management
- Knowledge and experience in the snack food industry
- Experience in all Microsoft Office programs
- Familiar with SQF Level 3 and HACCP requirements
- Familiarity with engineering software programs
- Experience with HMIs
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot I/O components, VFDs, motor starters, PLCs, etc.
- Redzone/Ignition/Python/SQL Experience (knowledge of stored procedures, database maintenance)
- Knowledge of OPC/UA, MQTT
- Knowledge of plant data historians
- Basic knowledge of virtualization
