Vaco is Leading a Search for a Payroll Team Manager on Behalf of a Respected Global Materials Company Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Payroll Team Manager who will work as Payroll Manager on behalf of a prominent global company in the materials and specialty chemicals industry This position will have 3-direct reports and will report directly to Payroll Leadership. Key Responsibilities: Oversee payroll operations for over thousands of employees, ensuring precision, compliance, and efficiency. Lead and develop a collaborative team, building a well-rounded payroll staff equipped with both technical and soft skills. Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, supporting audits and implementing enhancements. Collaborate with HR and finance departments on payroll system integrations and improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) from PayrollOrg is highly preferred. Certification as a Certified Payroll Manager from the National Payroll Institute is a plus. Workday Payroll Processing Experience: Workday payroll processing experience is REQUIRED. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Workday. UKG Pro Experience: Experience with UKG Pro is a plus but not required. Experience Requirements: Payroll Management Experience: At least seven years of payroll processing experience in multi-location settings, with a strong grasp of U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations. Supervisory Experience: Minimum of three years in a supervisory or management role, with demonstrated success in team leadership and development.
