IT Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Title: IT Cybersecurity Engineer

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Cybersecurity Engineer to support our client's Security Operations vulnerability Team in the performance of analyzing the vulnerability landscape of an enterprise and day-to-day operations, as required. Will work with ServiceNow building dashboards and widgets. Must possess strong Bug Cloud knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  Monitor and manage submissions through Bugcrowd VDP platform, including initial triage and assessment of reported vulnerabilities

  
  
• Ensure all submitted reports are acknowledged in a timely manner and maintain open communication with external researchers
• Collaborate with internal teams to verify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities based on potential impact and severity
• Work with security and development teams to ensure that vulnerabilities are addressed and resolved according to established timelines
• Act as a liaison between external security researchers and internal technical teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues
• Provide feedback to researchers on their submissions and ensure they are informed of the resolution process
• Stay updated with industry best practices in vulnerability disclosure and threat management
• Configure and perform pre-deployment vulnerability scans for systems and servers being deployed in the environment.
• Configure and perform decommission vulnerability scans for systems being removed from the network
• Write SOPs and policies to enhance the efficiency of the vulnerability management program

Required Qualifications:

• Experience/Skills:




• 5+ years' experience working in a SOC and can support VDP and VM tasks
• Strong experience with ServiceNow
• Bug Cloud experience
• Experience with Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field

Required Certification:

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
