Description

The successful candidate will oversee, guide, and optimize integration of space vehicles carrying the Warlock Payload and associated ground segments across various SDA programs/offices.

Responsibilities:



  • Support delivery of a constellation of low-latency mesh network providers, promulgating fire control solutions at scale, with future capability to connect to other layers, warfighters, partner systems.
  • Support integrated space vehicle systems development, including integration of mission payloads (emphasis on RF communications, advanced signal processing, onboard data processor) with satellite buses.
  • Oversee algorithm development for geolocation, detection, classification, and tracking in support of long-range kill chains
  • Oversee and guide payload design, development, integration, and test activities assessing performing requirements and SWaP for proliferated LEO operations
  • Oversee integration of the Space Vehicle (SV) into the SDA's ground system network design and with the other satellite vendors to create the mesh network
  • Coordinate the development of operational procedures for RF and optical payloads, including joining networks, maintaining connections, and mission planning
  • Oversee the development of the SV's flight software and solutions to maintain the on-orbit mesh network
  • Oversee Assembly, Integration and Test activities
  • Characterize the impact of space vehicle and payload design decisions on mission effectiveness
  • Support modeling and simulation (M&S) development and analysis for advanced fire control
  • Identify capability gaps and devise advanced fire control actions to help address those gaps; identify and assess key architecture and system level trades
  • Develop Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for new capabilities and coordinating them across the affected organizations
  • Develop enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements
  • Support programmatic actions in program execution encompassing costs, schedule and performance
  • Prepare briefings and recommendations for senior decision makers


Required Skills & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline
  • 10 years direct related experience in developing target tracking and/or fire control solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements development, monitoring and execution
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Current TS/SCI Required


Preferred Skills & Experience:



  • Master of Science or higher


Compensation: Starting salary ranges from $170,000-$190,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
