Perform moderately complex tax work. Prepares property tax renditions, premium tax returns, fixed asset additions/disposals, and other miscellaneous tax filings. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of the annual property tax renditions and premium tax returns. Update the fixed asset listing for tax purposes by inputting additions and disposals. Prepare excel workpapers for the annual tax filings. Research and analyze year over year fluctuations of property tax valuations, premium taxes, and other misc. tax items that arise. Assist with state taxing agency audits by gathering information requested from the auditor. Perform monthly accrual of the premium tax payable account. Prepare and pay monthly/quarterly tax payments. Request information from Lines of Business needed to prepare tax filings. Recommend process changes and implementation of tax software. Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience 2+ years of technical and theoretical background in U.S. GAAP, including accounting for income tax. 2+ years of tax related experience. Federal and state income tax for corporations a plus. Proficient in spreadsheet applications (specifically MS Excel) and accounting systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong willingness to learn, share knowledge, accept responsibility, and handle multiple tasks concurrently. Clean credit history as reported by credit report. #LI-HYBRID #LI-VISIONCARE Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
