We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visual Inspection and Leak Detection Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of visual inspection and leak detection, with a proven track record of ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Develop and implement best practices: Establish, document, and maintain best practices for visual inspection and leak detection processes.
  • Technical guidance: Provide expert technical guidance and support to inspection teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Training and development: Design and conduct training programs for inspection personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge in visual inspection and leak detection techniques.
  • Quality assurance: Oversee and ensure the quality and accuracy of inspection reports and findings, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance inspection efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to address inspection-related issues and develop integrated solutions.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations for action.
  • Compliance: Ensure all inspection activities are conducted in accordance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Why you? Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in visual inspection and leak detection, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing industries.
  • Relevant certifications such as API 510, API 570, ASNT Level III in Visual Testing (VT), or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with advanced leak detection technologies and methods.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proficiency in the use of inspection tools and technologies, including non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and leak detection equipment.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendations.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Attention to detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Team player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships across departments.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
