Position Summary The Inventory Clerk is responsible for assisting with all warehouse operations functions including receiving, order picking, packing, shipping, transportation and inventory management. Also supports customer-owned inventory at the distributor including receipts of shipments, monthly inventory reports, and timely delivery of products to the hospitals and ambulatory locations. The position is responsible to help with all warehouse functions, assist in preparation of annual warehouse operation budget, maintain operating expenses based on the operating budget, and the key performance indicators defined for efficient warehouse operations. In addition to the responsibilities at Warehouse, the position also supports the installation of the ParExcellence inventory management system by helping with equipment needs, installing scales and bins for use at the hospital locations throughout the system. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory. 2. Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups. Processing of requisitions and requests to invoice for reimbursements of warehouse codes; complete requisitions for needed materials to assure adequate stock levels. 3. Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment. 4. Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition. 5. Support the use of a visibility board which includes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including fill rates, Stock outs Backorders, Receiving Exceptions and others to support continuous improvement. 6. Assist with inventory optimization and standardization at all acute care locations if called to do so *Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience in acute care logistics and distribution Forklift experience Excellent verbal / written communication and inter-personal skills with strong customer service focus Demonstrated portfolio of strong project management skills, with ability to systematically analyze issues, and development of corrective actions that permanently eliminate recurring problems. Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and ERP system; inventory management system preferred. Education/Licensure/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent required |
