The Family Support and Stabilization team provides strength-based services to families, children, and youth under 21 years old who have significant behavioral health needs and are identified by the Department of Children and Families or the Department of Mental Health. Services include clinical, family and youth support as well as parenting classes. The therapist, in collaboration with Family/Youth Support Workers, provides intense and flexible family therapy in the home/community setting with the purpose of improving the youth and family's functioning.

This position offers a wonderful opportunity to join an expanding team that's passionate and dedicated to providing quality therapeutic interventions to youth and their families, as well as exposure to multiple behavioral and child welfare systems. CHL provides a supportive and energetic work environment, as well as some flexibility in creating your own schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide home-based family therapy to clients and families of diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.

  • Contribute to the overall success of the team of service providers working with clients and families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

  • Attend required client meetings.

  • Maintain client records.

  • Follow CHL procedures and protocols.

  • Attend trainings and staff meetings.

  • Complete required client paperwork in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • MUST be licensed or license eligible asLMHC, LCSW or LICSW.

  • Grade C12: Clinician III: Master's degree in social work, counseling or related field required.

  • Clinical license - LMHC, LCSW or LICSW preferred.

  • Grade C16: Clinician IV: Master's Degree andLICSW in the State of Massachusetts. Experience in the area of practice necessary.

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in clinical setting working with children, adolescents and families with severe behavioral, social and emotional difficulties.

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to work independently and ability to contribute to team objectives required.

  • Proven ability to effectively engage clients, successfully advocate for clients and to work well with other professionals.

  • Comfortable providing home-based services.

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills.

  • Ability to use a computer-based information system.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered, inspected and insured automobile for work-related purposes including transporting clients in your own vehicle.

  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check.
