Description

The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit- Ellison 9

Why This Role Is Important?

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit-Ellison 9 (CICU) is a patient and family-centered 16-bed adult unit serving critically ill cardiac ICU patients. The most common diagnoses and/or interventions are hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, ventricular assist devices, CVVH, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, recovery from coronary procedures, including percutaneous aortic and mitral valve replacement, recovery from acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure and/or multiple organ dysfunction/failure.
Under a registered nurse's (RN) direction, the Critical Care Technician (CCT) assists the multidisciplinary healthcare team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The CCT works in that capacity but exclusively with intensive care and acute units. Ellison 9 is seeking a CCT with day and night availability to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
Do you think you may be a good fit for New England's #1 Medical Center, based on U.S. News Best Hospitals for 2024-2025: Massachusetts General Hospital.
