Application Window Open date: October 30, 2024 Next review date: Monday, Mar 31, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Mar 31, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description A postdoctoral position is available in the Lawrence Laboratory in the Department of Biological Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The Lawrence Lab studies mechanisms of cellular stress response signaling at atomic, cellular and physiological scales. We are particularly interested in biochemical mechanisms defining how cellular stress response machinery senses and regulates cellular metabolic state, and how stress signaling drives cell-type-selective vulnerability in age-related neurodegenerative diseases. We welcome applications from motivated individuals interested biochemistry, structural biology, stem-cell based modeling of glial cells, or genomics/metabolomics-based projects. The successful candidate will benefit from a supportive lab environment and the highly collaborative UCLA community. Responsibilities: The appointee will also have the opportunity to strengthen their leadership and collaboration skills by support in applying for fellowships and grants, interacting with graduate and undergraduate students, and taking leadership roles in manuscript preparation.
