What you'll do

As the Program Launch Manager for Utilimaster based out our facility in Plymouth, MI, or Bristol, IN you will enjoy managing assigned projects from planning and budgeting through launch and maintenance.

Your main focus will be to oversee multiple aspects of your assigned project portfolio, manage changes in scope proactively, and work collaboratively with members of the project team to accomplish deliverables, resolve problems, and mitigate risks.

You will also be involved with building team cohesiveness, leading, influencing, and motivating team members to ensure project effectiveness and morale. In addition, you will manage project integration through the PM methodology phases and recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

You will also:

* Identify and define deliverables that support business goals

* Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

* Utilizing project management tools to stablish and monitor project timelines and milestones

* Develop full-scale project plans and communications documents

* Complete projects according to budget and deadlines

* Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

* Create recommendation reports based on project lessons learned

* Periodically assess the health of projects utilizing the Obeya room process

* Assess staffing needs and request appropriate resources

* Ensure project teams are properly staffed, trained, engaged, and understand expectations

* Make decisions using revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections

* Assemble and complete the CER (capital expenditure request) process, including approval tracking

* Provide quarterly and monthly cash flow estimates

* Assure project legal documents are completed and signed

* Prepare and improve detailed schedules, goals, and other documentation

* Promote healthy vendor relationships by setting expectations and communicating openly

* Set project expectations across all divisions, functions, 3rd party vendors, and stakeholders

* Meet or exceed organizational and customer expectations through lessons learned and benchmarking

* Improve efficiency and business outcomes by recommending business processes and system changes

* Develop an understanding of how business processes interact

* Create clear and testable requirements for new systems implementations

* Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path

* Manage project transition between functional groups and project phases

* Conduct research into project-related issues and products

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

* Eight or more (8+) years of project management experience

* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Preferred)

* Consistently attentive to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely decisions

* A track record of planning and handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines

* Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities

* Excellent training and organizational change management skills

* Versed in evaluating and recommending changes to complex business processes

* Experience with value stream mapping

* Conflict resolution experience within functional team and outside vendors

* A history of correcting complex process and system issues

* A solid understanding of key financial metrics

* Familiar with creating capital expenditure requests and managing a budget

* Ability to travel 30% of the time
