Position Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager with PRIME AE, you will play a vital role in shaping communities and enhancing the built environment. This position centers on leading the engineering design and development of bridges and miscellaneous structures within our Transportation Division. You will manage impactful projects, mentor emerging engineers, and foster their growth in highway engineering, directly contributing to our mission of making a positive difference through our work. You will also collaborate with our Transportation Teams across all states to advance meaningful projects that serve our communities and deliver excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Win ODOT, City, and County bridge / structure projects.
  • Actively manage and oversee the work of Project / Design Engineers and Engineering Technicians.
  • Develop scope and fee proposals for various bridge design and related transportation projects.
  • Oversee and track project schedules and budgets.
  • Report and estimate Project financials.
  • Assemble design teams and coordinate and assess the activities and deliverables of the various subconsultants and disciplines associated with the project.
  • Provide Quality control and oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs of bridge projects. Including plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Develop and mentor the bridge engineering skillsets of junior and entry level design engineers.
  • This position requires frequent client interaction, report preparation, oral presentations, and proposal development.
  • Participate in industry associations and make presentations.
  • Crucial to this position is an emphasis on unwavering professionalism with clients, staff and subconsultants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSCE (required) or MSCE (preferred)
  • Active Ohio PE registration is required; other licensures are beneficial.
  • 10 years minimum progressive experience in a combination of bridge structural and foundation design and project management responsibilities.
  • Preliminary and Final design experience with ODOT projects, specifications, and guidelines required.
  • NBIS Certification preferred.
  • Experience in structural engineering for preservation and rehabilitation of bridges.
  • Experience in condition evaluation and load rating analysis of bridges.
  • Demonstrated experience with project related construction phase services and shop drawing review.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
