Manager, ESG Reporting

Zoetis is seeking a Manager of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting within the Finance-Controllers function. This newly created role focused on regulated ESG reporting will play a critical role in leading and influencing mandatory ESG reporting for Zoetis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will report directly to the ESG Controller and will work closely with other controller functions including External Reporting and SOX internal controls. This role will work closely with corporate sustainability, legal, information technology, manufacturing, human resources, finance and other functions and disciplines across the organization to ensure timely and accurate reporting of required ESG disclosures in a standardized and controlled process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monitoring, applicability, and impact assessments of certain evolving ESG regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., EU CSRD, ISSB, SEC, California Climate Rule, etc.) and global disclosure trends to drive ESG reporting compliance activities.
  • Serve as the primary project manager to lead the development, implementation, and project management of Zoetis' activities for regulated ESG reporting acting as a liaison between Finance, Corporate Sustainability, Legal, GMS (manufacturing), Human Resources, and other functions to ensure timely completion of implementation activities.
  • Coordinate key components of the external assurance process for regulated ESG reporting fostering strong relationships with external auditors to ensure compliance and enhance transparency.
  • Design ESG educational content and lead internal ESG education presentations to management and key stakeholders over mandatory ESG disclosures and related regulatory implications.
  • Represent the Controllers function on ESG matters for various company initiatives and internal committees.
  • Collaborate with the global SOX team to assist develop, document, and execute the ESG disclosure control program.
  • Draft ESG regulatory disclosures, collect ESG data and disclosures from data owners and manage the supporting documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Sustainability or related field required
  • Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting, finance, and/or ESG reporting experience

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • U.S. GAAP and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, corporate governance, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley and other statutory requirements
  • ESG reporting frameworks, regulations, and standards including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SEC Climate Rule, ISSB, TCFD, and SASB
  • Global ESG reporting regulations and data landscape
  • Strong project management skills with experience working on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to create impactful presentations tailored for executive-level meetings and presentation.
