SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE: Exelixis is seeking a Senior Director & Counsel, General & Administrative (G&A) Contracts & Data Privacyto lead the Legal Department's G&A Contracting group, reporting to the Vice President II, Legal Affairs & Operations, Board Secretary. The successful candidate will be a seasoned attorney with strong leadership skills and a wide breadth of experience in commercial contracting, and is also a creative problem solver with sound business judgment. You will be responsible for managing a contracts team (counsels, contracts managers, contract admins), will serve as the leader on complex transactions, and will closely partner and collaborate with various departments across the organization. Your role will focus on drafting and negotiating a broad range of contracts in support of critical business initiatives across all G&A functions, but with an emphasis on Information Technology, Information Security and Data Privacy matters. *This position is onsite five (5) days a week (Monday through Friday) at our Alameda, CA headquarters. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this positionis $243,000 - $344,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors. In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
