The role:

We are seeking a mid-level Product Manager with expertise in Card Transaction Processing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of card payment flows (authorization, clearing, and settlement), with good understanding of the disputes process and related tools (e.g., chargebacks, resolution platforms). You will work across departments to enhance our transaction processing capabilities, focusing on delivering seamless, secure, and compliant payment experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own the product life cycle for card transaction processing features, from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demands.
  • Card Transaction Expertise: Collaborate with engineering to build and optimize processes around card authorizations, clearings, settlements, and refunds. Ensure high availability and performance of transaction processing.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, compliance, legal, customer support, and external stakeholders (banks, processors) to implement product enhancements and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Customer Feedback & Market Trends: Gather and analyze feedback from customers, business stakeholders, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation in the card transaction processing space.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all card processing solutions are PCI-DSS compliant and adhere to network-specific regulations. Collaborate with dispute product managers and dispute operations to ensure compliance to regulations such as Reg E and Reg Z. Deeply understand card network rules (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), relevant tools, and platforms (e.g., Ethoca, Verifi) to minimize operational friction and loss.
  • Product Performance & Data Analysis: Track product KPIs, transaction performance, and customer usage to drive continuous improvement and innovation in transaction processing.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or relevant role, with specific experience in card transaction processing or payments.
  • Strong understanding of the disputes and chargeback process, including knowledge of tools such as Ethoca, Verifi, and network-specific dispute management platforms.
  • Experience with card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and a solid grasp of the payment ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with authorization, clearing, settlement, and other card transaction lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with compliance (PCI-DSS, card network rules) in the payments industry.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, legal, and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in fintech or the payments industry.
  • Prior experience working with dispute resolution platforms (e.g., Verifi, Ethoca) and other card transaction processing tools.
  • Familiarity with API-driven payment processing systems.

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.

$124,800 $234,000 USD
