Senior Supply Chain Cost Analyst

The Senior Supply Chain Cost Analyst supports the negotiation of subcontract costs. The individual is responsible for generating compliant cost analyses and commerciality assessments to support compliance to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and control the costs of Moog's supply base. Success in this area will enhance Moog's ability to continue to grow its US Government portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand subcontractor's cost accounting systems and obtain all relevant cost or
    pricing data Moog is legally entitled to under the Federal Acquisition Regulations
    (FAR) and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
  • Analyze all relevant cost or pricing data, execute fact finding with suppliers, and
    generate FAR compliant cost analyses.
  • Utilize cost analyses to support Procurement and Strategic Sourcing in the
    development of negotiation strategies.
  • Analyze of all relevant data to assess commerciality of products and services, and
    generate commerciality assessments.
  • Support audits of cost analyses and commerciality assessments
  • Provide Supply Chain organization with subject matter expertise in areas of cost
    analysis, price analysis, and commerciality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in either a technical or business discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in a Cost Engineering, Cost Analyst, or Supply Chain position.
  • Strong financial background in cost accounting systems, along with a working knowledge of engineering processes, hardware manufacture and typical supporting functions
  • Strong working knowledge in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
  • Proven capabilities / competencies in contract fact findings and negotiation strategy development
  • Demonstrated track record of cross functional collaboration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at various levels of leadership

Salary Range Transparency:

Torrance, CA $75,000.00-$150,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
