Position Summary This role will be the finance business partner to the Sr. Manager of Operations FP&A. The role will own all core financial aspects of Operations, including direct and indirect labor, as well as national field infrastructure, across the Company's approximately 900 locations. While the stores technically reflect a "Service Business," each location has aspects of a manufacturing shop floor:
- Ensure Direct and indirect materials on hand;
- Utilize Materials to assemble/consolidate into product;
- Perform the service or installation; and
- Quality test, deliver vehicle to customer, invoice.
Duties & Responsibilities
- In-depth analysis of labor and overhead, driving cost and cycle productivity across all stores.
- Lead segmentation of poor performing stores, actions plans and best practices tracking and adoption.
- Development and support of most critical financial and operational KPIs.
- Leverage Lean/Six Sigma tools to drive various forms of efficiency.
- Co-lead simplification of store pay plans, targeting more direct line of sight on pay for performance (productivity).
- Track Labor inflation and deflation as key components of total labor costs and productive work.
- Support (with Ops Leader) design of proper field structure and critical KPIs across field management.
- Co-lead annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and accompanying analysis for Operations.
- Lead Store Overhead initiative toward lower, more variable model.
- Lead presentations with Sr Executives, and support Board of Director meetings.
- Jointly responsible with SVP Ops for hitting core financial metrics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, operations management or equivalent training required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing finance roles, or finance roles with multi-site, similar focus.
- Advanced expertise in Excel and overall proficiency in MS Office products.
- Strong working knowledge of financial statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement and cash flow components).
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing independently.
