IMMEDIATELY HIRING! AMR/MEDICWEST SPECIAL EVENT EMTs

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

JOB SUMMARY:
The Special Event EMT will deliver high-quality patient care and customer service to event guests, venue and event staff, and local partners at special events in fixed and temporary venues in and around the Las Vegas valley.

LOCATION:

Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, Nevada

Key Responsibilities:

  • EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
  • Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
  • EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR/MedicWest image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Valid Driver's License
  • National or Nevada State EMT certification
  • CPR/BLS certifications
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test

WORKING CONDITIONS AND MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions: Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, extended workdays. Long periods inside the ambulance. May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather. Possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels. May periodically work in poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.

Physical Demands: Moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking. Some repetitive motion activities. Routinely lifting more than 200 lbs. with assistance. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing and stair climbing. Visual identification of color-coded items. Clear speech and hearing. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.

Mental Requirements: Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Fatigue, high pressure, exposure to stressful situations.
