What You'll Do in This Position

Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of startup or testing for a project exercising independent in the application of operations and startup techniques. Normally uses conventional approaches to startup or testing problems encountered.

Prepare component and system test procedures. Prepare maintenance and/or operating procedures. Direct component and system testing. Conduct inspections of systems in conjunction with system turnover. Direct crafts and owner personnel in startup, testing, plant/equipment operation. Provide planning and scheduling input for assigned areas of responsibility. Review engineering and vendor documents for startup and operational requirements, notify project engineering of problem areas, and may suggest possible solutions. Prepare startup field reports to identify system component problems. Monitor construction activities that directly interface with assigned tasks for possible impact on startup, testing or operating services activities.
Other knowledge skills:
Demonstrate proficiency to qualify as a Level II HVAC Test Personnel.
Candidate shall be able to perform, coordinate, and direct Ventilation test and balance activities for, and not limited to: Fans; Air-handlers; Air Distribution Systems; air balance, damper adjustments, controllers, face velocities, traverse readings (Setup), pitot tubes/Airfoils, system deficiency resolution. Demonstrate proficiency with Computers and Software: Microsoft Word (required), Excel (required) and Power Point (required).

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential

Other Qualifications

Demonstrate proficiency to qualify as a Level II HVAC Test Personnel.
Able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" or "Q" Security Clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

Bachelor degree in a technical discipline with work experience in startup, operations, maintenance, or testing preferred.
Perform, coordinate, and direct Ventilation test and balance activities for, and not limited to: Fans; Air-handlers; Air Distribution Systems; air balance, damper adjustments, controllers, face velocities, traverse readings (Setup), pitot tubes/Airfoils, system deficiency resolution.

Demonstrate proficiency with Computers and Software: Microsoft Word (required), Excel (required) and Power Point (required).
