Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a Maintenance Purchaser/Planner to join our Sulphur Springs, Texas Plant team! This role is responsible for performing all work associated with the purchasing and stocking of maintenance materials, parts and supplies. The incumbent will establish excellent rapport with vendors to gather/review quotes, compare pricing and process purchases as required. This is a Monday-Friday day shift position, but as an integral member of the maintenance team, the incumbent must be able to work scheduled shutdowns.
A Day in the Life...
- Maintains professional relationships to attain the goals of safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Collaborates with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
- Functions as the plant user expert regarding Maximo and Ivalua systems in supporting the alignment of maintenance activity and help ensure that such activities meet plant and corporate objectives.
- Leverages computerized maintenance system (Maximo) and other technical systems to ensure relevant and accurate information is available for scheduling and monitoring maintenance activities. Provide training in Maximo to others, as necessary.
- Generate, distribute and track maintenance work orders, PM's, inventory control, purchase orders, and payments. Track and monitor maintenance and repair schedule of equipment. Reconcile invoices.
- Responsible for the overall state of the inventory management process, including tracking and reporting key metrics to improve effectiveness and reduce expenses.
- Prepare weekly and monthly expense reporting. Prepare bi-weekly re-order reports to align critical maintenance purchases.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of both extraordinary maintenance and routine maintenance budgets.
- Work in conjunction with Operations and Maintenance Teams in day-to-day maintenance-related issues. Analyze work orders issued versus time to complete to ensure constructive use of time.
- Responsible for ensuring job plans remain current.
- Work with a team mindset to improve equipment reliability, optimize PMs, root cause failure analysis, condition monitoring, etc.
- Support and promote food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or 2-4 years of equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work constructively in team environment, as well as communication and presentation skills.
- High level computer skills (ie: MS Office, Maximo, SAP, etc.)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of maintenance equipment, materials, and parts.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of general inventory management best practices.
- Proficiency in Maximo and Ivalua is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's or University Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience: At least 3 Years of Experience
