Job Title: Manager of Indirect Tax (Sales & Use Tax)

Position Summary: The Manager of Indirect Tax will play a crucial role in overseeing sales and use tax compliance, managing business license registrations and renewals, defending against audits, and driving best practices and process improvements. This position will also involve managing staff and performing detailed data analysis to enhance tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations and manage business license registrations and renewals.
  • Lead audit defense efforts and provide guidance on tax matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the indirect tax function.
  • Manage and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Conduct data analysis to support strategic decision-making and compliance efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification (CPA or CMI) is required.
  • 5-9+ years of relevant experience in Sales & Use Tax.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Experience with Vertex or other tax software preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with strong data analysis skills.
