About the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) and the Career Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology
Under the leadership of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE), the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) challenges students to become accomplished learners who are able to make meaningful connections among work, study, and community. We connect curricular and co-curricular offerings to support students in developing a strong foundation for success, during college and after. We do this through the efforts of our faculty, professional staff, and students.

The Career Center includes the Career Operations Team, which includes event planning, administrative support, and IT; the Undergraduate Career Education Team, which provides resources to undergraduate students to support their searches for full-time employment after graduation, such as help with the exploration, selection, and pursuit of meaningful careers; career counseling; resume writing interview tips, etc. and the Employer Connections team, which leads the effort to grow and maintain the elite brand and the diverse set of employers engaging the Georgia Tech campus. The center also shares responsibility (dotted line reporting) with and provides operational support to the Undergraduate cooperative education (Co-op) and Internship programs (with the Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning) and the Graduate Career Services and Internship Programs (with Graduate and Postdoctoral Education).

Note on Working Time:
This position must be available to work standard GT business hours M-F, 8-5 (or 7-4 or 9-6), as well as some evenings as weekends based on student programs and with advanced notice. The first 3-6 months of employment are fully in-person/on site. Following this, some telecommuting will be available in accordance with OUE's guidelines. Job Summary

Coordinate employer relations programs, services, and events to promote student recruitment and placement in employment or educational opportunities. Responsible for cultivating relationships and identifying career opportunities with corporate, nonprofit, public, and private
employers. May supervise lower-level staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Develop, establish, and maintain relationships with representatives of prospective and current employers in order to expand experiential learning opportunities, full-time positions, entrepreneurial, and other professional opportunities.

Job Duty 2 -
Provide support for all databases and systems used for employer information and data collection.

Job Duty 3 -
Assist with assessment, data management, and accreditation efforts for all programs.

Job Duty 4 -
Develop and facilitate workshops, trainings, and other programs.

Job Duty 5 -
Act as a representative at targeted professional organizations and events to promote student employment.

Job Duty 6 -
Assist with the management and coordination of the Partner Program.

Job Duty 7 -
Participate fully in all programs, events, including student advising and career development services, center trainings, marketing, outreach, and other operations.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Four to six years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience in a high-volume collegiate campus recruiting program.
Knowledge and experience with Symplicity career services management system, or other similar job posting systems.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires direct experience in recruiting, employer relations, and event planning in a corporate or university environment; outstanding communication skills and the ability to provide outstanding customer service; ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of attention to detail; working knowledge of career development theory and strong coaching or counseling skills; previous experience with university system and employment databases.

Additional responsibilities related to the position:
Manage the Georgia Tech Career Services Management System, Career Buzz, and be an account manager for employers using the system.
Manage job, internship, and coop postings submitted by employer partners, ensuring that postings are posted correctly and comply with relevant laws and guidelines.
Manage on-campus interview scheduling.
Consult with employer partners via phone and video conference concerning how to best leverage Career Center resources to connect with and recruit Georgia Tech students.
Share partnership opportunities available to employers in support of the GT Career Center.

Other Information

Job Grade: A7

Pay Range: $23.02/hr - $31.30/hr

Salary will be commensurate with experience and education

Working Arrangement: Hybrid (Will discuss schedule during interview)
