POSITION SUMMARY: The Building Engineer's primary responsibilities will include the inspections of building systems at the office and retail properties, parking garages and other corporate assets within Columbia, Maryland. The Building Engineer will assist with hands on duties as needed related to all property services and work with outside contractors in completing construction, maintenance, and other required projects. Lead Engineer is responsible for licensing and inspection requirements and assisting with supervision of all engineering staff. The Building Engineer will also assist with budget preparation, bid requests, project/contractor oversight and other duties as assigned. Compensation: $60-75K plus benefits based on experience. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to diagnose issues with building mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and perform maintenance/repairs on air conditioning, heating, electrical and plumbing systems, water and sewer lines, stairs, gates, fences, railings, roofing, tile, carpet, flooring, doors, windows, gas and electric boilers, chillers, walls and ceilings, security system, tile, other equipment as required.
