Development Membership and Database Intern

Join the Development Department as a Membership & Database Intern! This is a great opportunity for the intern to enhance their skills in organization, multitasking, and communications while learning more about non-profit structure, including mission and staff collaboration. The intern will gain technical training by assisting with membership processing, data entry, process documentation, reporting, and brainstorming creative methods for data visualization using our donor database, Tessitura. In addition to the duties above, the Development Department works with interns to create specific projects that align with their academic pursuits and personal interests.

Learning opportunities and skill:



  • Operational support to a high functioning fundraising team at an exceptional museum
  • Data integrity including migration support for a major database upgrade
  • CRM database skills
  • Data visualization using Tessitura and Excel Experience in a non-profit organization.
  • Interns are encouraged to join all department activities and meetings


Internship Qualifications:

The Membership and Development Operations team seek a highly detail-oriented and motivated college student with excellent written and oral communication, planning and organizational skills. This opportunity requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of and ease with Microsoft Office.

The spring internship program runs from 1/23/25 until approximately 4/24/25 or an agreed upon end date with the hiring manager. Please note, there is a required in person orientation that takes place on Thursday, 1/23/25 10-4 pm. This internship provides a stipend of $1500.00 and will require a minimum of 15 hours each week, on site.
