General Summary of Position: The Director of Capital Projects has responsibility for coordinating and managing all capital projects on campus, including new construction, facility renovations and infrastructure upgrades through the use of both internal and external project managers and resources. The Director of Capital Projects is responsible for all daily operations for the Capital Projects department including, but not limited to, personnel management and developing and maintaining a comprehensive project controls program for quality assurance, budget control, consistent project delivery and operational continuity across the campus. This position is responsible for providing executive level support and supervision to all members of the Project Management team to ensure that all projects achieve their programmatic objectives, are delivered on time, within budget, and align with campus strategies and initiatives. This position provides support and assistance to the Executive Director, Planning, Design and Construction and the Assistant Vice Chancellor as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the department and efficient management of its Capital Project Program.
