Posting Summary |
Rutgers School of Public Health is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist for the Biostatistics & Epidemiology Services located in Piscataway, NJ. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, is responsible for the management and supervision of a small research team, designs, and conducts specialized research projects, and assists with budgetary, training, and administrative responsibilities.
Duties include:
- As Assigned, assist with the roll out of the cancer prevention-toolkit for Aim 3: conducting a quality improvement project to
- assess the toolkit's impact on volunteer firefighter's cancer control knowledge and practices.
- Assists in the establishment of performance standards, as well as in the selection of methodology and instrumentation
- related to research activities.
- Coordinates and tracks study activities including recruitment, quantitative and qualitative data collection, and biological
- sample collection.
- Creates, implements, and supervises other staff in conducting research and technical operations in New Jersey and at
- national study sites, independently or as assigned, followed by appropriate reports, recommendations, and conclusions.
- Assists with mentorship and supervision of students, fellows, lower-level professionals, and technicians in study procedures,
- instrumentation, etc. to develop the skills necessary to perform the required functions.
- Assists with the preparation of proposals, formal applications, budgets, and justifications for grant applications.
