As a Skills-Based Talent Acquisition Strategy Intern, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organization's future-focused talent acquisition strategy. Your primary task will be to develop a comprehensive game plan for skills-based sourcing, screening, and talent acquisition. Using data analytics, AI, and HR principles, you will design a unique recruitment experience for internal and external talent. This internship will involve identifying adjacent skills, exploring emerging market trends, and developing a scalable framework to support the organization's goals in future skills hiring.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Basic understanding of AI tools and automation in talent acquisition.
- Familiarity with talent acquisition processes and skills-based recruiting.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role is currently enrolled in or has completed a graduate program in Human Resource Management (HRM), Business Analytics, Data Science, Organizational Behavior, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or Management Information Systems (MIS). Candidates with a strong undergraduate background in these fields and relevant experience in data analytics, talent acquisition, or AI-driven recruiting are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Skills-Based Recruitment Framework: Create a structured approach for skills-based sourcing, screening, and recruitment to guide talent acquisition strategies.
- Conduct Market and Skills Research: Analyze industry trends and identify emerging skills, adjacent skills, and skill gaps to inform recruitment practices.
- Explore AI and Data Analytics Tools: Research and test relevant AI-driven tools, platforms, and free resources to enhance skills-based sourcing and decision-making.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Engage with Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, DEI, People Insights, and Technology to align strategies and gain stakeholder support.
- Present Problem Statement & Solution: Define and present a clear problem statement for skills-based hiring, gaining leadership support and approval for proposed solutions.
- Create and Implement a Detailed Action Plan: Develop a roadmap with actionable steps, resources, and metrics to ensure successful implementation of the skills-based recruitment strategy.
- Track and Report on Progress: Regularly update stakeholders with data-backed reports on internship milestones, project advancements, and results.
Achievements by the End of Internship:
- A fully developed, actionable framework for skills-based recruitment and talent acquisition.
- A comprehensive market analysis report highlighting key talent trends, skills gaps, and emerging workforce skills.
- A curated toolkit of recommended AI and data analytics tools to enhance skills-based recruiting.
- Defined problem statement and documented solution with leadership approval.
- A detailed, practical action plan for implementing skills-based sourcing and screening processes.
- Final presentation and reporting on findings, insights, and recommendations for future talent acquisition strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
- Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships
Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education. Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location. Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour.
