This position is responsible for reviewing corporate documents and opening commercial accounts for Public Fund, 1031, Financial Institutions, Broker Dealers, Title Company, and Mortgage Warehouse Lending. The Specialty & Correspondent Banking Support Specialist supports these clients by providing phone and email support, performing account maintenance, entering wires, and offers support for other treasury services.
Responsibilities New Accounts:
Create account documentation and open accounts for Specialty verticals including Public Fund, 1031, Financial Institutions, Broker Dealers, Title Company, and Mortgage Warehouse Lending. Ensure all documentation required is received and accurate. Monitor and clear Doc-Tracking and CIP exceptions timely. Perform secondary review on accounts opened by other employees in the department including scanning to Synergy and working exceptions.
Perform maintenance on accounts and treasury services:
Perform maintenance on account and treasury services as requested by clients. Submit workflow for all CIP or Account maintenance requests. Submit Treasury workflow for all treasury requests, as needed. Prepare and scan account documentation for all signer change requests.
Support group inbox and phone queue:
Monitor group inbox and phone queue for client inquiries. Follow department procedures for response times and inbox management of folders. Ensure SLA's are met for new account requests. Monitor and enforce compliance with Bank policies to mitigate risk. Ensure the highest level of service is provided to internal and external clients.
Qualifications Education and Minimum Experience
High school diploma or equivalent education certificate (GED), required AND Minimum of 5 years of banking experience Minimum of 1 year of experience with analysis and/or Treasury services
OR
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance Minimum of 2 years of banking experience
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Ability to multi-task effectively while delivering a high level of customer service Strong knowledge of account opening process Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of banking rules/regulations and banking policies Knowledge of Legal Documentation required for new account opening Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications required Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Detail oriented Strong organizational skills to include effective time management in all key responsibilities of the job Ability to work well in a team environment Proven self-starter who can work with minimal supervision Effective communication skills - both verbal and written Demonstrate general knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements
