In support of our mission to be the best solution provider to our customers, we are increasing our presence for our customers and sales team. As an Applications Sales Engineer for Wangen Progressive Cavity Pumps, you are a critical part of this mission and will work directly with customers and the sales team to ensure satisfaction by providing technical sales support for Wangen products,
As an Applications Sales Engineer, you are a trusted advisor internally and externally. You will report to the Applications Sales Engineering Manager and be located in our Houston, Texas office. Responsibilities:
- You will review pump & accessory requirements and deadlines, assess interest levels and potential, determine product specifications, inform sales team of technical sales strategies, explain the products, options, alternatives and benefits over the competition, and coordinate projects and corporate priorities.
- You will prepare technical and commercial competitive proposals offerings, consulting with the sales team, to ensure Wangen is best positioned to close every order.
- You will maintain organized electronic and paper project files including inquiry package/specifications, documentation, e-mail correspondences, price calcs or spreadsheets, records of approved discounting by sales team, third party vendor quotes including trade products, specific materials and accessories, efficiently preparing and submitting quotations by the due date.
- You will support the sales team by completing revised commercial and technical proposals including revised technical documentation on or before the due date assuring continued considerations.
- You will visit customers and/or Sales Representatives as needed.
- You will inform customers of technical benefits and advantages of Wangen progresive cavity pumps, scope of services, and offer alternatives, trials, discounts, or other promotions.
- You will maintain relationships with customers and sales representatives by keeping a record of key account contacts within assigned areas as established by sales team.
- You will review and address engineering issues involving bills of material, engineering drawings, product conformance, and potential warranties.
- You will review documentation against the specific requirements of sales orders to ensure the documentation and execution of the job meets and exceeds customer expectations.
