STV's Transportation group in Georgia is looking for a talented Site Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll take charge of managing projects from notice to proceed through final closeout, overseeing key tasks like plan development, scheduling, cost estimating, and the preparation of specifications. You will lead and guide both the project and the team to ensure that objectives are met, solutions are implemented, and policies are adhered to. Working closely with the Principal Project Engineer, you will collaborate on resolving challenges and ensuring successful project delivery.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to engage in all phases of project management, planning, and design for roadway and bridge projects, from concept through delivery. You will have the chance to grow both professionally and personally, with leadership opportunities to mentor junior staff and play a key role in business development activities such as client engagement, proposal preparation, presentations, and contract management. We are seeking a self-driven, technically proficient professional who is eager to help expand our engineering practice in Georgia. Experience with project oversight with both the design process and the coordination of a multidisciplinary team of design and quality professionals is required. Responsibilities:

  • Lead project team meetings and provide high-level reports to STV executive management on project status and progress.

  • Guide and mentor a diverse team of engineers, offering oversight to both junior and senior technical staff.

  • Play a key role in business development, including developing capture and pursuit plans, preparing winning proposals, and engaging clients.

  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects that meet client expectations.

  • Oversee all aspects of project management: from scope development, budgeting, and scheduling to contract negotiations, team coordination, and cost control.

Requirements:

  • 11+ years of experience in transit design or construction with a strong background in managing large-scale rail/transit projects

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's Preferred).

  • PE license in Georgia preferred.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and lead teams effectively.

Compensation Range:

$116,960.00 - $155,946.00
