General Job Description: Directly reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this position is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of company-wide HR policies, plans and programs in support of the company's strategic plans. The incumbent will provide HR support services including but not limited to talent acquisition, on-boarding, compensation/benefits, employee relations, event planning, talent/performance management, learning and development and regulatory compliance initiates and efforts for the employees of ACCO (for assigned offices). To be successful in this role, the incumbent must act with professionalism, integrity, discretion, urgency and be responsive to client needs. This role provides support to assigned HR Managers across locations. Supervises: None Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports HR Manager with low- to mid-level employee relations issues and investigations, including attending meetings to take notes, summarizing findings and follow-up action items.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Provides training to new managers on tactical HR-related processes and procedures.
- Assists with the creation and updates of employee-related job change letters and job descriptions.
- Reviews and provides suggested guidance on background checks requiring HR review.
- Conducts and analyzes exit interviews and makes actionable recommendations based on data, feedback, and areas of concern in collaboration with HR Managers.
- Supports compliance efforts including mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, aptitude exams and certifications, etc.
- Assists in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies.
- Performs routine tasks required to support human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Develops and maintains organized employee files and HR records.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 3-4 years working in an HR coordination role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of state and federal employment laws (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FSLA)
- Proven ability to work with tight deadlines and navigate through change
- Willingness to learn and provide guidance to others in an HR support function
- Ability and eagerness to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting

- Ability to learn and utilize online applications; Zoom, BOX, Google IM, Smartsheets, Online customer portals, etc.

- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and remain organized in a fast-paced environment with limited direction
- Broad knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, and a demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge

Hours: Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Travel: 0 - 15% of the time to and from the primary office to regional branches. Competitive Wages: $32.38 to $41.45 per hour.
