Description
The primary purpose of the Regional Director of Operations is to plan, direct, implement and evaluate overall development, management and successful administration of Post-Acute Long Term Care Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout southern Oregon State. The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for all financial and administration operations, supervision of leadership, business and program development and strategic planning related to program quality measures, internal and external growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality services such as budgeting, strategic planning, and ensuring operational efficiency for the post-acute care continuum.
- Recognize issues and potential problems, develops relevant facts, formulate alternative solutions and make appropriate decisions based on such analysis.
- Apply an understanding of the relationship between clinical and financial operations.
- Write clear and concise reports, memos, bulletins, and articles, and conducts effective presentations.
- Work collaboratively within all companies in the Avamere Family of Companies and with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand extensively Medicare/Medicaid/HMO's fees, optimize fees, avoids bad debts and work to increase income and profit.
- Participate in networking events and industry associations-both firm associates and healthcare trade associations.
- Identify opportunities to develop and expand existing business relationships.
- Participate in professional, charitable, social and other activities that cultivate professional relationships internally and externally.
- Contribute constructive and critical thinking ideas to improve all operations over all companies with Avamere Family of Companies.
- Demonstrate leadership through example. Operate as an effective role model. Inspire, lead, mentor, train and motivate all staff.
- Supervise Administrators and other pertinent staff, providing appropriate instructions, follow up and feedback in a timely manner.
- Participate in the recruitment and retention of leadership/Administrator positions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Business and or Healthcare Administration and MBA is highly desired
- 10 years minimum experience in an executive leadership role in the post-acute rehab long term clinical setting; SNF, IL and ALF
- 5 or more years in a multi-site and multi-state management position
- Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
- Ability to travel 50% or more per year, as needed
- Ability to work in Excel, Word, Power point, must have excellent Excel skills; ability to build formulas, etc.
- Experience in negotiations and contract management
- Experience managing multiple projects and multi-million dollar budgets in a multi-state region
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Must have strong negotiating skills, attention to detail, financial acumen and excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
