Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Course Accommodation Aide will play a crucial role in assisting students with disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to educational resources and can fully participate in classroom activities. This position involves collaborating with faculty and staff to implement effective accommodations and support strategies tailored to individual student needs. This role will also provide reading/scribing supports to students during timed assessments.

  • Provide scheduled support services in the classroom and various other settings to students with accommodations as assigned by the Manager, or Coordinator, at all campus locations.
  • Help students utilize assistive technologies and adaptive equipment in a classroom, lab, or testing setting.
  • Proctor, read, or scribe exams to individuals who have been approved for testing accommodations.
  • Monitor student behavior to ensure safety and appropriate interactions.
  • Report student progress to faculty and staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience
      • Demonstrate familiarity and understanding of The ADA and Section 504.
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
      • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
      • Experience working with adults and/or in Higher Education preferred.
      • Proficiency in specific academic disciplines preferred (for example: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc.).
      • Hourly wage $18.00.


      Working Conditions:

    • Work flexible shifts including weekends according to student needs.
