Financial Analyst

This position will provide decision-making support to the Finance and Executive teams in varying capacities including, revenue and cost accounting, financial reporting, monitoring of internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. A successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of GAAP, excellent business acumen, the ability to analyze financial information, and excellent communication skills to convey financial results through the organization.

Essential Duties Include:
  • Lead preparation of internal financial reporting, including variance and publicly traded peer analyses, on a monthly basis.
  • Use existing models to budget and forecast capital expenditures and operating results. Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders to develop and communicate these forecasts.
  • Complete annual budget, and accumulate, compile and project financial information for the following fiscal year based on historical patterns and trends, future projects as well as knowledge of business functions.
  • Perform ad hoc internal reporting and research as assigned. Examples include, contract evaluation and analysis, capital project analysis and shareholder and company stock analyses.
  • Maintain spreadsheet model and perform reasonableness testing to analyze gross margin.
  • Accumulate, compile, and calculate financial information to prepare various regulatory reports.
  • Prepare analysis and information that enables monthly closing activities and support other core accounting functions.
Requirements:
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and at least 5 years of public or industry accounting experience.
  • Exemplary decision-making skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to work independently, seek out opportunities to improve processes, and drive projects to completion.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems, ability to learn new tasks quickly, and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
  • Bachelor's level accounting degree/comparable field of study.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA), preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
