PURPOSE OF POSITION: The General Store Supervisor is responsible for managing, marketing, merchandising, selling, and maintaining inventory of merchandise, food, drinks, beer, and other liquor products. The Supervisor is to ensure at all times excellent customer service to all our guests and be a support to other departments as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Able to operate and teach all related POS systems relative to the general store operation
  • Handle, settle and reconcile payments transactions (cash, credit cards and gift cards)
  • Merchandise shelves with inventory for the best possible experience
  • Conduct monthly inventory of liquor and beer
  • Monitor and order inventory and analyze sales reports to maximize sales
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store
  • Monitor and order supplies
  • Reconcile at the end of day receipts and room charges in Maestro and POS system
  • Scan all sales reports to accounting after closing at night
  • Ensure opening and closing checklist for the day is completed
  • Demonstrate proactive guest, owner and employee problem resolution with urgency, respect and empathy towards all issues presented
  • Ensure staff professionalism through coaching, adherence to dress codes, maintaining uncluttered and well supplied workspaces, proper training materials and clear channels of communication
  • Work with the Front Office and Operations Manager to develop processes and procedures to ensure smooth operation and flow at the general store and front desk
  • Assist the front desk with other guest related services such as check in, check out or answering phone calls and inquiries
  • Staff may be required to cover front desk shifts as business dictates


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Multi-tasking and training
  • Manage retail staff
  • Knowledge of cost of goods, labor cost and general store financial performance
  • Knowledge of Maestro
  • Knowledge of POS system
  • Work with other departments as assigned during slow periods
  • Knowledge of DV Gift Card System
  • Understanding of Deer Valley Resort
  • Knowledge of Park City and surrounding areas


PAY RATE:
  • Pay: $22.00 per hour
