Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for anEngineeringInternto add to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team in Denton, Texas.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limitedto:

  • Design/prototype/test/modify returnable racks for parts

  • Incorporate hand tool models into Creo master models for clearance checks

  • Assist with testing various prototype software

  • Assist with prototype builds of new products

  • Assist with pilot coordination activities for preproduction builds

  • Document department processes (pilot truck build coordinator, PFMEA, standard fasteners, etc.)

  • Create manufacturing tool list by assembly area

  • Support increased build capacity projects

  • Create/input PFMEAs to new database format

  • Develop labor study database

  • Automate plant quality data extraction and generate report

  • Create new project scope requests

  • Further develop Design for Assembly (DFA) training materials

  • Duties may also include involvement on battery electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, fuel cells, alternative fuels, or other new technology projects

Education

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering, or a related program.
