The Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior 80/20 Finance Specialist to accelerate our strategic initiatives around Customer Focus; People, Community and Planet; and Financial Strength. 80/20 is based on the Pareto Principle that roughly 80 percent of outcomes are the result of 20 percent of causes. In this role, you will assist finance leadership in collecting and analyzing financial data, helping to communicate key areas of growth and opportunity to the business. By partnering with the business to embed 80/20 in decision making, you will influence and drive improved performance across all Military Aircraft Group strategic initiatives. You will have high visibility with business leaders and will require the ability to communicate and influence across functions and many levels of the organization.

As a Senior 80/20 Finance Specialist you will:

  • Be a subject matter expert in finance with significant knowledge of 80/20 methodology
  • Assist the business in tracking financial performance against key metrics on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Utilize 80/20 principles to develop the segmented P&Ls, analyze the results, and communicate results to the business.
  • Provide the business with financial insights and forecasting to help influence decision making and set strategy with the business leaders.
  • Add capacity to the group and accelerate the pace of transformation and change.
  • Size and Scope - supports the global operations of the Military Aircraft Group with over $800M in revenue.

Key Accountabilities

  • Expert level understanding of financial reports and metrics
  • Connects data to future planned growth and strategy, i.e. understand data output and measure progress
  • Consolidates monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operations data, prepares and/or reviews various internal analyses used by senior management
  • Collaborates with operations liaisons, IT, finance, and other functions as needed on 80/20 projects
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization including executives.
  • Provision of analytical support to business users and other personnel to both determine specific problem areas, and conduct research for the identification, evaluation and implementation of possible solutions
  • Partners with IT to build data communication tools and train users in understanding
  • Ability to model forecasts, trends over time, and adherence to plan (from previous quarter/year)
  • Coordination across multiple international sites.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in manufacturing environment in the areas of cost accounting, FP&A, or financial reporting
  • Travel - Approximately 10% (Domestic and/or International)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple functions and levels across the business.
  • Financially astute with a solid understanding of business metrics, financial metrics, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of 80/20 principles preferred
  • Experience with OneStream, SAP, and/or PowerBI preferred

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $90,000.00-$115,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
